Pain rehabilitation

Orton’s pain rehabilitation program is led by a multidisciplinary team specialized in treating and rehabilitating complex pain conditions and functional impairments such as CRPS, whiplash, EDS, and injuries.

Pain rehabilitation

The multidisciplinary team conducts a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s situation and helps find solutions to support recovery. Depending on individual needs, the team may include a physiatrist, psychologist, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

Rehabilitation methods

Pain rehabilitation involves a variety of non-pharmacological pain management techniques, body awareness exercises, goal-oriented training, and relaxation and Mindfulness Methods.

Physiotherapy may also include manual therapy, active training, lymphatic therapy, acupuncture, and aquatic therapy.

How to Access pain rehabilitation

You can access pain rehabilitation through a referral with a payment commitment from a referring party or as a self-paying client. Referring parties may include insurance companies, wellbeing service counties, or occupational health services.

The rehabilitation process usually starts with a referral written by the treating physician. Based on the referral, the payer grants a payment commitment for rehabilitation.
