General information: ORTON Foundation

The various ORTON units and Keskuspuisto Vocational Institute are maintained by ORTON Foundation.

ORTON Foundation was established in 1940 to organise the treatment, rehabilitation and education of people who had been disabled in the Winter War. From this historical starting point, the focus of ORTON Foundation’s activities has shifted towards research in the field of musculoskeletal diseases, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with these conditions, and education of students with special needs.
